FORM Hotel opened its doors to guests in Dubai in 2018 and was designed by the renowned Architecture Studio, who have also worked on prestigious buildings such as the European Parliament in Strasbourg and the Onassis Cultural Centre in Athens.
The hotel offers 136 elegant rooms, a restaurant, a boutique, and a fitness center that includes a swimming pool and a gym on the rooftop overlooking the Gulf of Dubai. Playful artworks add a contemporary feel to the public spaces, while the rooms are sleek and sophisticated with subtle style features.
The timeless design of the hotel is influenced by the location in the historical Al Jaddaf District which surrounds Dubai Creek. The wooden beams that frame the large open restaurant and lobby areas on the ground floor are reflective of the framework of the traditional boats, or Dhows, which you can still see being handcrafted in the area.

FORM Hotel had heard of Hoist Group as a provider of high-speed internet access (HSIA) to most of the established hotels in the UAE.
They knew that guests expect uninterrupted Wi-Fi access over all their devices and platforms, across the property. Therefore, FORM was looking for a modern HSIA infrastructure that could ensure consistent and uninterrupted WiFi in all of the 136 guest rooms and public areas spread over 15 floors including the basement as well as the rooftop. They wanted an HSIA solution that interfaced seamlessly with their Opera PMS.
The hotel was also looking for a guest-facing internet portal which needed to be on par with the industry standards, and in line with their hotel reputation.
The management soon realized that Hoist Group offered a wide range of hotel technology beyond HSIA. So, they shared with us their additional tech requirements.
They required an Interactive TV solution which allowed them to easily share customizable content, messages and latest information with their guests via the in-room TVs.
They also wanted their guests to be able to cast content from their own devices to the in-room TVs, so they have an at-home experience while staying at FORM.
Once deployed, the hotel also wanted to be in the driving seat and ensure that all these solutions performed perfectly. So, they wanted a dashboard-style solution to be able to monitor all the services themselves, while also being backed up by a 24/7 customer support from the solutions provider.
Finally, the hotel was very clear that they would only select technology from a provider who continuously developed and upgraded the technology, to avoid any security exposure or missing out on the latest technological advancements.
