“I am proud of the product, but I continuously want it to become even better!”
Ramona Lennerhed started her career as a System Consultat in Stockholm, Sweden back in 2007. Seven years later she moved to London and began her current position as Business Manager for HotSoft development.
What are your current responsibilities?
As Business Manager, I am responsible for all the development regarding our Property Management System, HotSoft. I work very closely with the Sales and Product Manager as well as the Director of R&D. My team consists of a group of ten people.
What does a typical day at the office look like?
I evaluate all development requests coming in from our customers through our support system. For a deeper understanding I have monthly meetings with each market. My daily work involves a lot of planning, delegation and quick decisions.
What do you like most about your job?
Working closely with my staff and supporting them in developing the product.
What are the biggest challenges?
The fact that the priority regarding development is very different for our different markets. Cultural differences, different rules and procedures make it challenging. It is difficult to predict what might happen further down the line.
What are your driving forces?
I am proud of the product, but I continuously want it to become even better! I am also very proud of my talented colleagues that I work with!
What quality would you say is the most important to be successful in your role?
Industry knowledge. The fact that I´ve actually worked in a hotel reception, helps me a lot. It is also important to not get lost in the details and see the bigger picture.
How would you describe Hoist Group as a workplace?
It is a familiar atmosphere where we care about our colleagues. There lies a loyalty to each other and to the company.
Why did you apply for this job?
Before I started my job at Hoist Group, I worked as a receptionist at a hostel in Stockholm where we used HotSoft. When Hoist Group needed a System Consultant for HotSoft, it seemed too good to be true so I just had to apply for it. I applied for this job in London as I thought it was an opportunity that I just had to take.
