Ségolène Costes works for Hoist Healthcare department in the Private Heathcare Team and joined us in 2011.
How has your career progressed with Hoist Group?
I joined the Private Healthcare team in April 2011 when the department was created.
At that time, Louis FIORILLO and I were sharing the entire French territory. As we met a huge success, the team has widened: we are now 5 Sales Representatives and we are looking for a 6th one.
After two years of tough negotiations with the Group Medipôle Partenaires I got a framework agreement which has allowed me to move on to a Key Account Sales position.
What are your current responsibilities?
I am currently fully responsible for one Key Account : Medipôle Partenaires, and I manage Elsan group with my college Sophie Assens.
What does a typical day at the office look like?
None of my days is the same as the others but if I am not in an appointment I try to:
- Make follow-up call to customers, paperwork (usually from 8h30 to 9h30)
- Contact potential customer again to find out if they have any news concerning my offers
- Follow-up deliveries (meeting with ISS project managers, calls with customer…)
- Contact new customers or current customers to talk about their upcomming needs so I could anticipate them
What do you like most about your job?
Being autonomous is what I like most about my job. It is constantly moving on to something different and I am passionate about it. I never get bored and I think it’s the most important thing for my personal development.
What are the biggest challenges?
Reaching my target, retaining existing customers and getting new ones, facing competitors which are very combative.
What are your driving forces?
Customers ! I won’t be where I am without him.
What quality would you say is the most important to be successful in your role?
Qualities : Persistence, listening.
Skills : market knowledge, products knowledge, elementary mathematics !
How would you describe Hoist Group as a workplace?
Our Business Unit is very united.
